If you have been having trouble sleeping or are overworked, you might be struggling with dark circles under your eyes. Aside from trying to lighten them up with makeup, there are also some natural remedies you can try out. Here are some different options for minimizing those dark eye circles.

Try Using Apple Cider Vinegar

You may not think apple cider vinegar can be used on the skin, but it definitely can! This has loads of natural health benefits, similar to those of coconut oil. All you need to do is dip a cotton swab into the apple cider vinegar, or rub it underneath your eyes where you have the dark circles. This won’t remove them immediately, but if you are consistent and keep up with it daily, you will notice that they start to lighten. The apple cider vinegar will dry quickly on your skin, so there is no need to rinse it.

Utilize the Magic of Coconut Oil

This is probably not a surprising recommendation if you have ever looked up natural beauty products. Coconut is wonderful for your skin, but it doesn’t just moisturize it. You can also use coconut oil to help minimize your dark eye circles. You need just a little bit of coconut oil in its melted form to rub directly underneath your eyes where you have the dark eye circles. Rub in a clockwise motion, then go the opposite direction. You can try this at night before bed and just let it sit on your skin.

Give Sweet Almond Oil a Try

Another oil that can be used on your dark eye circles is sweet almond oil. If you frequently use essential oils, you might have this at home to be used as a carrier oil. The oil can also be applied on its own right on your skin, and let it dry into the skin to lighten the dark circles. Use this in the morning before applying makeup or at night to put on before bed. This is similar to using vitamin E oil, since it contains this vitamin right in the oil.

How to Prevent Dark Eye Circles

Don’t forget to keep practicing preventative methods to prevent dark eye circles. This includes always using a moisturizer and sunscreen on your skin, and trying to get plenty of sleep at night. The better you sleep, the less dark circles and puffiness your eyes will have.
