Can You Drink the Water?

You’re out of town or out of the country, going on vacation, part of an exploration mission, camping, or hiking, and one of the most important questions you can ask is, “Can you drink the water?” And the best answer is, “Yes,” imperatively followed by, “If you are prepared.” The best preparation we’ve found is Chlorine Dioxide Water Purification Drops.”

In the United States, our municipal water supplies are in pretty good condition. There may be additives that may be cause for concern, but most municipally treated and supplied water is considered, “Safe to Drink.” Why? Because most municipally distributed water in cities around the world is treated with chlorine dioxide.

Drinking Water Triple Threat

In areas that might not possess the sophistication to treat available water sufficiently, the tap water may come from questionable water resources, such as wells, rivers, lakes, and streams that the triple threat may contaminate.

Drinking Water Triple Threat

  1. Bacteria
  2. Parasites
  3. Viruses

That is bacteria, parasites (including cysts and protozoa), and viruses that can make drinking water unsafe or even potentially life-threatening.

Let’s take a closer look at them.

Bacteria

While traveling most people will come in contact with the most common threat found in drinking water, E. Coli. Common signs of bacterial infection are stomach sickness, nausea, and diarrhea.

Infectious Bacteria Symptoms

  1. Stomach sickness
  2. Nausea
  3. Diarrhea

Other common infections caused by waterborne bacteria include typhoid, salmonella, cholera, and campylobacters.

Bacterial Infections

  1. Coli
  2. Typhoid
  3. Salmonella
  4. Cholera
  5. Campylobacters

Bacteria is the easiest to deal with because you can use simple unscented chlorine bleach or iodine to defeat them, but there’s more,

Parasites

This group of nasty buggers including cysts and protozoa can be tiny as a single cell. This group includes Giardia and Cryptosporidium which are the hardest of the parasites to kill. That’s why most municipal water treatment facilities use chlorine dioxide because it is well known for killing both Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

Chlorine Dioxide Kills

  1. All known pathogens, including
  2. Giardia and
  3. Cryptosporidium

Chlorine and iodine work well in killing most parasites, except for Giardia and Cryptosporidium which are commonly found in questionable water supplies. Then there are,

Viruses

Viruses found in water supplies are potentially dangerous, can be costly to treat over a long period of time, and cannot be defeated by filtration. Common viruses that are found in unsafe water include Norovirus, Polio, Hepatitis E, and Hepatitis A, among others. Certainly, nothing you would like to bring home with you.

Chlorine Dioxide Kills Viruses

  1. Norovirus
  2. Polio
  3. Hepatitis E, and
  4. Hepatitis A
  5. As well as others

This is where chlorine dioxide shines, and it is why the military, hospitals and healthcare facilities, hospitality, food processors, distributors, and preparers use chlorine dioxide to protect the public from viruses.

Chlorine dioxide water purification drops are effective in battling the triple threat of Bacteria, Parasites, and Viruses found in surface water or other questionable water sources.

Safe Drinking Water in the Field

Being able to have access to safe, hydrative water in the field is vastly important for military personnel and soldiers carry the two-part kit in small bottles that fit conveniently in their packs. The military also uses chlorine dioxide in decontamination booths, sally ports, and sprays, to keep soldiers safe from biological warfare exposure.

Travel Pack Water Purification Drops

Travel Packs of Water Purification Drops are available in convenient 2-ounce containers in the two-part configuration. They have a long storage life when the ingredients are kept separate. When combined to make chlorine dioxide on-site, its pathogen-killing power begins to degenerate, so it must be used immediately for best results, or at most within 30 minutes. After which, a new batch must be made.

Where is the High-Risk Water?

Interestingly enough, most of the high-risk water sources are found in the area of the Torrid Zone, or the tropics, largely due to being underdeveloped areas. These areas do not possess the infrastructure to support large-scale water treatment facilities. These areas also are host to some of the most aggressive pathogens that permeate local waters. Unfortunately, in these equatorial areas, there is no clear separation between water and waste, which is the perfect breeding ground for disease.

If you find yourself venturing into the Torrid Zone, your best defense is to pre-treat any water that you ingest with chlorine dioxide water purification drops that can be easily placed in your pocket or purse and used on demand, when needed.

How to Use Travel Pack Water Purification Drops

In a Restaurant

You can purify your own drinking water discretely in a restaurant by

  1. Order a glass of water (no ice) and an empty glass.
  2. Make sure the empty glass is clean and dry put
    1. 1 or 2 drops of Part 1 and
    2. 1 or 2 drops of Part 1 in the clean, dry empty glass
    3. Swirl the drops
    4. Allow them to activate for 30 seconds.
  3. You can check for activation by watching the drops change from clear to yellowish/brown and you will notice a scent similar to chlorine.
  4. After 30 seconds, pour the glass of water into the glass with the activated chlorine dioxide water purification drops.
  5. Wait 10 minutes.
  6. Your water is now safe to drink.

Note in (2a and 2b above) it says “1 or 2 drops.” 1 drop is for a small glass, 2 drops is for a large glass of water.

In the Field

  1. Put 3 drops of Part 1 and 3 drops of Part 2 in a 1 Quart clean and dry glass or PET plastic (non-metallic) container.
    1. Swirl the drops
    2. Allow them to activate for 30 seconds.
  2. You can check for activation by watching the drops change from clear to yellowish/brown and you will notice a scent similar to chlorine.
  3. After 30 seconds, fill the container with 1 quart of questionable water.
  4. Wait 10 minutes (wait longer if the water is murky).
  5. Your water is now safe to drink.

Trouble in the Amazon

Deep in the Amazon jungle, in 1996, the leader of a mining expedition’s crew came down with severe cases of malaria. He sent runners for help, knowing help may not arrive in time. All he could do was offer them available surface water (that could have been the source of malaria) treated with chlorine dioxide water purification drops to keep them hydrated while they lay dying. In 4 hours, the miners recovered, ate food, and returned to work.

After returning to the United States the leader of the mining camp, Jim Humble, dedicated his life to the research and discovery of chlorine dioxide water purification drops as a possible remedy for all kinds of ailments. His discoveries and recommended protocols for various maladies and diseases can be found in his book, MMS Health Recovery Guidebook (2016) by Jim Humble.

Having grown up in the shadow of her father’s work, Health Coach, Paris Humble released her updated book, Healthy Alternative Chlorine Dioxide Uses Non-pharmacological Health Restoration (2022) based on the same principles conceived by her dad using chlorine dioxide to help the human body heal itself from most any health challenge by doing the same thing inside the body as it does in the treatment of water; eliminating the triple threat: bad bacteria, parasites, and viruses.

Both books may be difficult to find in bookstores due to their sensitive nature, and they have been banned by Amazon.com for being too controversial.
