Oregano Oil for Colds

During certain times of the year good, colds and flus can become very difficult for people to deal with. You can use oregano oil help combat these ailments. The easiest way to use oregano oil for this, is to add several drops of oregano oil to water that has been heated until it is steaming. You can use it similar to any other steaming treatment with a towel over your head as you lean over a bowl of hot water.

For Ear Infections

No one likes to deal with ear infections. At times infections can become so severe that the pain can be disorienting. Infections sometimes happen because of a swollen gland, or a bacterial source, and can begin as something benign like an average allergy reaction. Fortunately, oregano oil is great at soothing inflammation and killing microorganisms. If you would like to use oregano oil for this purpose, then it’s recommended that you use an oil such as jojoba to dilute the oregano oil. Once blended properly, you will then be able to rub the mixture on the outside of your ear. Doctors have cautioned that you not place the oil within your ear canal because it can cause damage.

For Your Skin

Do you know that you could also use oregano oil for your skin? Oregano oil is great common skin conditions, especially those caused by inflammation. The best way to use oregano oil on your skin is with a carrier oil. For this purpose, coconut oil may be the best choice. Once you’ve blended the coconut oil and drops of oregano oil, you can take a small amount and rub it into the area. Be sure to test the area nearby first, so that you know that your skin won’t be irritated
