This is a wonderful detox salad you can try out when you want something light, healthy, and flavorful. It is perfect in the hot months of spring or summer, but don’t think you can’t enjoy it when it is cold out either. You can definitely change it up how you like it, but it should include some pink grapefruit and greens, since these are really good ingredients for detoxing your body. Aside from the grapefruit and kale, you can add in any veggies or fruits you would accompany it, such as pomegranates, strawberries, watermelon, and kiwi. You can also include some nuts on top like chopped walnuts or pecans, then include some crumbled feta cheese if you eat dairy. You can stop here, or make a simple dressing with apple cider vinegar, lemon zest, and some honey.
This detox salad is really good when you want to cleanse your system of toxins, while also reducing your risk for illness. The antioxidants in the many fruits and veggies of the salad will really help you to be the healthiest possible. For the fruits and veggies, add in some lemon juice, kale or spinach, cherries that are pitted, onions, chickpeas, berries, and artichoke hearts. You can also add in some quinoa in order to beef it up and make it more hearty, then season it with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Chopped walnuts taste really good with this salad.
